The following are the attractions and activities that are temporarily closed at Thai national parks nationwide as part of the country’s strengthened measures to contain new wave of COVID-19 infections.
The move coincides with the 2021 annual seasonal closure of attractions and national parks for a certain period, normally during the rainy months. Dates are varied, depending on the weather and park conditions that may create unsafe conditions for visitors. Also, the annual closure allows for some ecological recovery time.
Thailand currently has a total of 155 national parks.
As of 22 April, 2021, 72 national parks are closed while 83 other national parks are still open including 25 that are open with some closed attractions. This may change without prior notice, so travellers are recommended to revisit the list regularly updated by the National Park Office via this link, or its Facebook page: National Parks of Thailand.
