The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) has announced the prohibition of airlines from operating their domestic passenger flights in and out the Maximum and Strict Controlled Area or dark red zone during the spread of the COVID-19 for at least 14 days, starting from 21st July 2021.
These measures exclude flights related to the Sandbox project, emergency landing and technical landing with no passengers leaving the aircraft, as well as those that need to land and are allowed by the CAAT.
The Maximum and Strict Controlled Areas include Bangkok, Chachoengsao, Chonburi, Nakhon Pathom, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, Samut Sakhon, Pathum Thani, Ayutthaya, Songkhla, Pattani, Yala, and Narathiwat.
